Hi and welcome. My name is Lorraine and I'm so glad you're here. I'm a meditation teacher and I have a deep passion for sharing the transformative power of mindfulness and meditation especially with children and teens. I've been practicing meditation for over 35 years now and for more than two decades I've been teaching others just like you how to bring these powerful practices into the lives of young people. Along the way I've written three books on teaching meditation to children and teens and I've had the privilege of supporting people from all walks of life to do this work with calm, creativity and confidence. My teaching style is warm, accessible and down to earth. I truly believe that anyone regardless of their background can learn to meditate and share these skills with the young people they care about. You don't need to be perfect and have all the answers, you just need to be willing to practice, reflect and connect. In the Teach Meditation 101 course I'm going to guide you step by step through the foundations of meditation and show you how you can confidently and authentically share these tools with your children and teens even if they seem at first to be quite resistant. Whether you're a parent or a carer or someone who simply cares deeply about young people, you're in the right place and I can't wait to get started with you.
