This is a retreat house of the Sisters of Mary in historic Sag Harbor on Peconic Bay. In keeping with the theme of digital detox, the rooms are simple but the beds have sheets and blankets furnished in the style you see. There is a private room with its own water closet (sink and toilet) and then private rooms with a shared water closet. There are also two person shared rooms. There are two dorm showers on each floor. As you can see below, you can decide to share a room. If you have a roommate in mind, we will try our best to accommodate your preference. There is a decorum of silence each evening beginning at 10:30pm. In the retreat house we can go on a little later, but please be respectful of everyone and let's have fun and get some rest.

Simply Sleep

Spend the weekend letting go of the outside world. Step back in time into a 150 year old historic Convent and Retreat house. Connect to spirit and other participants as you explore the beautiful grounds and cozy rooms for meditating as you look out at the bay. In this exploration we will unplug, relax, replenish, and emerge with a fresh perspective and connection to ourselves and our creativity in this beautiful and peaceful place dedicated to spirit.

Take flight into JFK airport- go to the air train which will take you to the Long Island Railroad Jamaica Station. Take LIRR to Montauk and get off at Bridgehampton or East Hampton and then Uber from there to Cormaria.  This option usually takes 3.5 to 4.5 hours total. 

Or fly into the Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) if you are in the US and rent car and drive 1 hour 15 minutes to Cormaria.

The most direct and convenient option from JFK is usually renting a car or hiring a car service straight to Sag Harbor. If possible try coordinating with other attendees to consider group transportation.

How do I get there?

The weather can vary in the 'shoulder season' of April. It can be wet but most likely still bring a winter coat and comfortable clothes. Also don't forget Saturday night dress as your favorite muse- something fun.
Be creative!

What should I wear?

Bring a yoga mat, water bottle, toiletries, and a journal to write in. You may even want to bring a favorite pen that you might like to write with. This is all about you after all!

What should I bring?

The morning exercise and stretch will be gentle. You can always use a chair or just not participate and watch and enjoy the atmosphere. Just know your limits.  
If you do choose to do a polar bear plunge on your own -it is at your own risk and you should bring pool shoes because of the rocks and shells in the water.

Do I need to be in shape for doing exercise such as the morning stretch.

Activities are to be joyous and fun. There is no pressure. If you chose to participate, we do encourage you to be with the group and to just enjoy.

Do I need to be able to sing?

You can bring your own snacks. The town of Sag Harbor does have several food shops and a convenience store nearby. We encourage you to make that stop before the retreat.

Are there snacks?

Haley and Gera will be at the registration office at 3:00pm and check in will begin at 4:00pm Friday.

What time is check in?

Check out is after breakfast at 11am on Sunday.

What time is Check Out?

There are hotels nearby if you would like to extend your stay. Sag Harbor is known for their charming shops, restaurants, and art galleries. There are also scenic vineyards nearby if you'd like to explore beyond the historic town of Sag Harbor.

What if I want to stay longer in Sag Harbor?

Just bring a sense of humor and a willingness to unplug and step into your creative self. You are welcome to use your phone in your room but please try to adhere to allowing yourself to unplug and create, even if it's just for much needed sleep.

Regular home-cooked meals are prepared on site. George Hirsch is a 5-star, renowned chef who has been on many TV shows and even has 5 cookbooks out. Check out "George Hirsch-Chef+Lifestyle TV/Radio".  As a native of Sag Harbor, he has returned and will be preparing meals lovingly for us. Lucky us!

Sunday

The retreat starts on Friday afternoon with check-in, dinner, evening meditation, and yoga Nidra. Saturday offers a full day of renewal, including sunrise yoga, breakfast, a workshop, lunch, dinner, and an evening of uplifting spirit, yoga Nidra, and song. On Sunday, we will gather for a closing reflection circle and a farewell breakfast. Our retreat is a weekend designed for connection, reflection, and renewal, helping you restore balance and harmony within yourself.
