Breaking Free: Unveiling The Open Door

Hello and welcome. I'd like to welcome you here to this teaching, to this guidance, to this meditation guided visualization. And today I'm going to talk about freedom and I'm going to do this by reading a few quotes that I found and reading an excerpt of a book that I've been reading and then guiding you into a guided meditation, guided visualization of this freedom. And it goes around the illustration or metaphor of being a caged bird. But you'll notice that the cage is unique as we get into the quotes and the teaching. So I invite you to settle in for this teaching and meditation. And I'll start by again reading a few quotes and one of them is by John Lennon and it says, tame birds sing of freedom, wild birds fly. I just invite you to close your eyes and think of that. Tame birds sing of freedom, wild birds fly. And then I'm going to read another one by Alejandro Jodorowsky and it's, birds born in a cage think flying is an illness. So just think of that. And if you're a bird in this illustration, I invite you to think of yourself as that. If you were born in a cage, you think flying is an illness. And now I'm going to read you an excerpt of a book I've been reading called Inner Engineering by Sadhguru. And it goes along with the quotes. It says, in fact, as we have seen, every subatomic particle in your body is responding in a limitless way to the great dance of energies that is the cosmos. The only reason you are not experiencing the life process in all its majesty and profundity is your current state of mental resistance. Being born in a cage, I'll say, right? So notice what he says along with this. Through millions of years of evolution, nature has caged you within certain boundaries. This is the human predicament. But this imprisonment is only on the level of biology. On the level of human consciousness, you are like a bird in a cage without a door. What a tragic irony. It is only out of long eons of habit that you are refusing to fly free. Life has left everything open for you. Existence has not blocked anything for anyone. If you are willing, you can access the whole universe. Someone said, knock and it shall be open. You don't even have to knock because there is no door. It is open. You just have to walk through. That is all. So at this point, I invite you to keep those quotes and that visualization in your mind as we head into the guided meditation. And to do this, I invite you, if you're not already, to get into a very comfortable position. Gently feather your nest. Very fitting illustration for the bird. So yeah, I invite you to get very comfortable. And if your eyes are not already closed, I invite them to gently close. Gently close your eyes. And I invite you to feel your grounding cord secure around your hips. And take some deep breaths in through your nose, out through your mouth, and maybe even a sigh on the exhale. So deep breath in, gentle sigh out. As you settle in here and you feel your sit bones secure, maybe even a heaviness as you start to ground more. And the roots descend through your legs, soles of your feet, through the floorboards of your home. Deep, deep, deep into the layers of the earth. And no matter where we go on our visualization, or meditation, you are so held here and grounded by the earth mother below. With love, and safety, and security, and holding. So your roots descend far and wide, and I invite you now to lean back into the beautiful waterfall of grace. And as you do, allow your shoulders to kind of settle in here, maybe even move them one up, back, and down, the other up, back, and down. And gently lean back into the beautiful waterfall of grace that connects to the divine, to the universe, to the cosmos. And it feels like the light of 10,000 suns coming in above your head, at just the right amount, coming into your crown, holding you here, cleansing your third eye, coming down, your back body, holding you as if the hand of the divine is holding you, illuminating your central channel. And you are so held by the earth mother below, and the cosmos, the divine above. Connecting to this light, and I invite you to picture yourself as was in that illustration, and the quote of being a bird in this illustration. So you're a bird in this cage, but the door is open. You don't quite understand that yet, or maybe even know what that means for you. But we'll get there. So for right now, I invite you to bring in a belief, a thought pattern, maybe something looping that's been you've been having a hard time with lately. Just bring that into your awareness. And it could be big or small, just something that's been you've been struggling with. And that's going to be the metaphoric belief that you can't fly if you're this bird. So bring that into your awareness, into your body. And I'm going to bring in this light that's coming in through your crown to this belief system. We're going to shine some light on it. So that you can understand that maybe there's a different perspective. Maybe you can fly. Maybe in this example, it's not exactly true. The thing that you've believed, maybe your whole life, like this bird, maybe by shining the light on it, we understand that we can fly, that it's not true. What we've been told our whole life, we can shift our perspective that we can fly. And the light becomes this pixie dust that goes around your wings. And you can feel it and you start to move your wings. And even in the cage, you kind of test it out. You're like, I can't come off the ground a little bit. But you still have a little bit of fear to go through or towards the door in the cage. But you start to do that a little bit, but you walk. And as you do, you see this expansive light standing where the door is. And it's so expansive that you can't even see the door. You just see light and awe. You're like, what is this? And it draws you in. You get a little closer and you realize that this light is you. This light is your higher self. This light is the light of your soul. And you're still in awe and you can't believe it. And you come closer and the light says, I come closer. And you do. And it invites you. It comes right to the door and it leans in so that you can put your head upon its chest. And you become the expansive light because it is you. And when you do this, you fly outside of the cage and you feel so free. And you are not just in the earthly realm. You are in the cosmos because you are the cosmos, because you are this expansive light. You are made up of stardust. You are all of these magical, beautiful things. And you can't believe it. And you're flying and you're spinning upside down and you are taking in the cosmos. It is taking in you. And you look over at this expansiveness of who you are, the light of your soul, your higher self. And it just smiles at you and you fly close and you become one in this remembrance, in this divine flow and remembrance of the light of who you are before all the layers of conditioning, before all the belief systems came in that were never yours. You came in as this radiant, expansive light. And all you have to do is remember the light of your soul in order to fly free as you are right now. And breathe this in as you fly. And you're still in awe as you fly around the cosmos and you check out the different planets and constellations. And they become you and you become them because you are one. And you've always wanted to slide on the ring of Saturn. So you do. You fly up to the top and you slide all the way down. And this is just not a made-up illustration. This is you. And deep down in the core of your being and in your cells and in your soul, you remember this. And I invite you, whenever you are feeling stuck, whenever you are feeling that you are in this looping pattern, in this belief system that is not yours, even if it's a belief that you have imposed upon yourself, you can hold it with this light. But you can remember that that is just the metaphoric door that has always been open, that you are free, and that we are one. And that we are oneness consciousness. And we are the universe. And as you fly, you come down to a lower perch to just take all of this in. And you integrate with the light of your soul, the shifting of this thought pattern or belief, the integration and the snapshot of who you are truly, the true essence of who you are. And I invite you to take a few deep breaths here in this light. And to let go of anything that's not serving you to the light, deep breaths. And I ask that this integrates at just the right time for your body. And at any time you are feeling limiting beliefs or feeling stuck, you can always come back to this meditation. And I invite you to just gently, in your own time, come back into your physical space by wiggling your fingers and toes, gently moving your head side to side. And in your own time, take your time. You may even want to sit in this stillness, in this light for a bit. Whenever you're ready, you can open your eyes. And I'll just share this last quote with you. This is the sole purpose of the spiritual process. The life and work of every spiritual guide across history and across culture has been just this, to point out that the cage door does not exist. Whether you fly or choose to remain in the limitations of the cage, let that be a conscious choice. And I leave you with this. And thank you for joining me here.
