Evening Affirmations For Gratitude

 Welcome to this evening gratitude meditation. This is a guide of meditation designed to put you in a mindset of gratitude for everything that's happened in your day today. Including any difficult or challenging parts of your day. I am grateful for the air that I breathe today. I am grateful for this body that carries me so well throughout my day. I am grateful for the earth that supports me so solidly, so unconditionally each and every day. I am grateful for the water that I drink today, for the food that I eat today. I am grateful for my mind and its capacity to reason. I am grateful for my feelings, all of them. The joyful, elevating, uplifting feelings, the challenging, hard feelings, the sad feelings, even the emptiness or the lonely feelings. I am grateful for them all because they are my internal navigation system. Helping me to steer the ship of my life at every single moment. Without my feelings, I am rudderless. I do not know where I am going. I do not know where to turn. I do not know my next step. So I am so grateful for all of the feelings that I felt today. They all have precious, valuable information for me. I am grateful for my family. Whether they have given me great love and great support and great encouragement, or whether they have given me great obstacles and great challenges to overcome in my path in life. Whatever they have given me is fuel for my growth and helps me become the master of myself and of my life. I am grateful for my ancestors. For all their love, for all their creation and for their very life. Without them, I would not be here. I am grateful for the blood that runs through my veins. For my heart that continues to beat without any effort on my behalf. I am grateful for my past and all that I have learnt from it. I am grateful for all of the beings who I have met in my life. All of whom have had a message or a lesson for me. I am grateful for this moment, this present moment, which is all I ever really have. This is where I live. I am grateful for the future, even though this is only a concept. I am grateful for all of the surprises that life has in store for me in all of the moments that are yet to come. I am grateful for all of my failures today and all they have taught me about myself and life. I am also grateful for all of my successes today and all they have taught me about myself and life. At the same time, I understand that the only real success is a successful present moment. Is me being fully present, fully awake and alive in this moment. Everything else that I call today success or failure may change in future and may look completely different in 5, 10 or 20 years from now. And I don't know whether what seems like a failure today might actually be a success or a great moment of awakening if I look back in 10 or 20 years from now. I am grateful for my capacity to choose my thoughts and beliefs today. Thus aligning myself with life enhancing and life affirming thoughts and life enhancing and life affirming beliefs. I am grateful for my ability to help others today, to be there for my loved ones, for my friends and family. I am grateful for my ability to love myself and develop a life affirming, friendly, supportive inner voice. I am grateful for my work and the fulfillment and joy it brings me. And if I am frustrated with my work or I don't have work at the moment, I am grateful for this because it is pushing me in the right direction. Helping me to either change my approach and attitude or to change my work or seek new work. I am grateful for all of the trees in the world which are constantly circulating new oxygen for me to breathe today. I am grateful for all of the earth's great forests which balance the biosphere and which are essential for the continuing of mine and all human lives on earth today. I am grateful for all of the oceans and all of the wondrous, amazing creatures who live in them. Without these oceans there is no life on earth. I am grateful even for such things as pandemics which arrive and which give me an opportunity to treasure my life and all lives and to reflect and reset my life wherever I need to. I am grateful for all the love I have ever received and all the love I have ever given and specifically for all the love given and received today. I am grateful for my children if I have them and for all of the lessons that they teach me each and every day. I am grateful for my pets and all of the animals that accompany me in my life. All of the birds in my garden, all of the bees without which there are no flowers, no fruits and no honey. I am grateful for music and musicians. I am grateful for art and artists. I am grateful for words and writers today. I am grateful for all of the beings in this world who are wanting and wishing for all of the same things as I am. Love, peace, happiness and freedom from suffering. I am grateful for this precious day, another opportunity to change, to grow, to evolve and to open to more love for myself, for others and for all of life. I am grateful for all of the challenges that I am facing today, whether big or small, personal, relational or financial. They are all invitations for me to grow, develop and expand. I am grateful for this day. I am grateful for the life that is me. I am grateful for this breath. I am grateful for this moment. I am grateful for love. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. And if this is my only prayer, my only speech and my only meditation today, I know that it is more than enough. Thank you for listening. I am sending you many blessings.
