Exploring Turtle Spirit Animal Medicine W/ Carol Anne Cross

Hello everybody. So I was guided today to bring you a message. It's a spirit animal medicine message and it's about Turtle, Mother Earth. So in Native American teachings, Turtle is the oldest symbol for Mother Earth or for Planet Earth because it embodies the Goddess Energy and the Eternal Mother. So although the external world at times may seem uncertain, always remember that light and energy is flowing through you at all times, waiting to be acknowledged, activated and embodied. So Turtle's message, Home is Within, can help us to find the courage to be adventurous and to explore beyond our comfort zones. So I want you just to relax and take a few deep breaths as you enjoy this message from Mother Earth Turtle. So gently breathe in and out. We are born of the worm of Earth and to her soil our bodies will return. So in honoring Earth, we are asked by Turtle to be mindful of the cycle of give and take. To give back to the Mother as she has given to us. Turtle has a shell which is similar to the protection that Earth has employed for centuries as her body has been defiled. Mother Earth's protection has come in the form of Earth's changes, new planet growth and creation of new land masses by volcanoes and climate alterations. Like Turtle, you also have a shell that will protect you from being hurt. The jealousy, the envy and the unconsciousness of others. They may seem to hurt us but Turtle teaches you through your habit patterns how to use your protection. So if you are bothered by the actions or words of others, it's time to go inside yourself and honor your feelings. Just like Mother Turtle goes inside her shell. And if you are attacked, then she would give a warning snack. So when Turtle comes to you, you are being asked to honor the creative source that is within you. To be grounded to the Earth and to observe your situation with motherly compassion. Use the water and Earth energies that represent Turtle's two homes. Learn to flow harmoniously in your situation. And place your feet stern firmly on the ground in a power stance. For Turtle is a fine teacher in the art of grounding. You may even be able to overcome some of your, shall we call them space cadet tendencies. For example, forgetfulness, lightheadedness and weariness. But you may be able to overcome some of these if you align with Turtle medicine. When we learn to ground ourselves, we are placing focus on our thoughts and our actions. And we're slowing to a pace that assures completion. And Turtle warns of the dangers of pushing the river, not going with the flow. This is evidenced by her slow and plodding pace. There's no need to rush. It will all happen at the right time. Remember, corn that is harvested before its time is not yet full. However, if it is given the chance to develop at its own rate, in its own season, the sweetness will be shared by all. Turtle buries its thoughts just like its eggs in the sand. And allows the sun to hatch the little ones. This teaches you to develop your ideas before bringing them out into the light. Remember the old fable of the tortoise and the hare. And decide for yourself whether or not you want to align with Turtle. Bigger, stronger and faster are not always the best ways to get to a goal. Because when you arrive, you may be asked where you've been. And you may not be able to remember because you were rushing and hurrying. And arriving prematurely can sometimes make you feel immature because you haven't learned along the journey. When Turtle comes to you, it signals a time of connecting with the power of Earth and the Mother Goddess within. This is a reminder of the ally that you have in Mother Earth. It doesn't matter what situation you have created. Ask for her forgiveness. Ask for her assistance. An abundance will follow. And as we take another deep breath in and relax, I want you just to tune into the energy of the Turtle. You're sitting on a beautiful sandy beach. And you can feel the sand beneath your feet. Wriggle your toes. Let the sand filter between them. And feel it one with Mother Earth's energy. And as we look out at the water, we also connect with the elementals, the undines, the water divas and sprites. They work with Turtle, Mother Earth and the Goddess energy to assist us to be empathic, intuitive and in tune with our emotions. The elementals often possess a deep understanding of others and a strong sense of compassion. Water is our connection to the second or sacral chakra. And it also represents femininity, sensuality, joy and ability to go with the flow, freedom and the power of creativity. Turtle can help us. She can give us protection. She can help us to find courage. She can help us to step out of our comfort zone. Just feel the love that is coming from Mother Earth and the Goddess energy. And the eternal mother from which all of our lives evolve. Just enjoy Turtle energy for a few moments. Visualize yourself as one of the little hatchlings raking through its shell. Into the sun, the air, then waddling down the beach to the water to swim off to a whole new world. When we live a life of kindness, empathy, compassion and love, we can be like this little baby turtle swimming out to a whole new world. Knowing that when we need protection, we can go to our home within. A home filled with love. So just take a nice long, slow, deep breath. Gently wiggle your body and your fingers and toes.
