Free To Sleep

 As you settle, your body feeling heavy and relaxed. Imagine that a mist of deep lavender light begins to surround you. The mist is soft and seems to shimmer as if lit from within with divine energy. This mystical lavender mist gently begins to swirl around you creating a soft deep cushion beneath you. Allow yourself to relax and sink into this silken mist. Notice that it supports you fully, completely. You are safe. It is okay to let go, to relax, to rest. With every breath, feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper into this spiritual cloud of support. Now imagine that as you settle, ready for sleep, you notice a thick silver cord attached to the lavender cloud that supports you. Your gaze follows that silver cord as it flows off into the distance and still deeply at peace, relaxed and safe. You realize that that silver cord is tethered to a mass of other clouds and this mass is dark and gray. And you realize that these are all the random thoughts and emotions that keep you from a deep and peaceful sleep. Notice that you are simply observing this mass of dark gray clouds. You are still deeply at peace and relaxed, just noticing, just realizing what those gray clouds are to you. Simply observing that your peaceful lavender mist is tethered to that jumbled mass of thoughts and emotions. Now look down at your hand and notice that you are holding a pair of beautiful gold scissors, just at peace, feeling content and at ease. Gently use those gold scissors to cut that silver cord that ties you to those gray clouds. And then watch as that silver cord falls away. Notice how good it feels to cut that cord and then watch as that mass of gray clouds drift off into the distance. Feeling so released and so relieved, leaving you relaxed and at peace, supported completely by this divine lavender light. Free, safe, ready for a deep and peaceful sleep.
