Curious, Dispersive, Dualistic. The moon shines to its fullest in the sign of Gemini on November 27 at 4:16 AM EDT. Full moons are moments of culmination, endings, and release. As Luna passes through this mutable air sign, Gemini supports embracing our natural duality within by airing out our guilt around it. As it represents dispersing information through conversation, we're given the opportunity to release fixed perspectives and embody more of the Gemini airy-adaptability, seeing both sides of a coin vs just one side of it. 

This ritual will go through bodywork and breathwork practice to open the mind to connect to our intellect, release attachments to being "right" and deepen our acceptance of our duality: our yin and yang, light and dark.

Gemini Full Moon Ritual Meditation

 This is your Gemini full moon ritual meditation, ending with a closing journal prompt. So Gemini is a mutable air sign, so it asks us to expand intellectually through our communication. And because the moon is in this sign, this expansion shows up closer to home in our daily emotional bodies. When full moons happen, that's when the sun is opposite the moon, so while Gemini is a mutable air sign, the sun right now is in a mutable fire sign of Sagittarius. And so with Gemini, it's the famous symbol of the twins that we see all the time. And that reflects the duality within each of us, the light and dark, the yin and yang. So this ritual meditation will harness the lunar energy to release any resistance and accept the duality within, while releasing any fixed opinions or perspectives we may have to initiate a shift in energy to evolve, grow, and expand. Start by arriving in your comfortable, relaxing meditation position, body and mind prepared to connect with the greatness that is above. If you haven't already, take a moment to set the scene for your meditation and your ritual by lighting any candles, cleaning up your space, using any crystals that you'd like for this practice, or charging them under the full moonlight. Once you've got everything settled in, close down the eyes and just experience the darkness behind them. Unwind the shoulders, loosen the grip of the neck and jaw, spread the skin of the forehead wide as if you're opening the curtains to your third eye chakra. Feel the thoughts in your head begin to lift up into the night sky, cleaning your slate, preparing for something to release. We'll start by connecting breath to the body through a tighten and release technique. As I call out each part, inhale and squeeze that part tightly, then on my cue, exhale and fully release and relax. Start by inhaling and clenching your feet and toes, and exhale, release and uncurl. Inhale, tighten the calves and knees, exhale, completely release the lower legs. Inhale, squeeze the glutes and thighs, hold the breath in, and exhale, release and relax. Inhale, clench both of your legs fully, and exhale, fully release, let them be heavy. Inhale, clench your core and your back, and exhale, release, let it go. Inhale, squeeze both arms, hug them into your ribs, and exhale, fully release. Inhale, squeeze your hand into fists, clench them tightly, and exhale, release, and let something go through the palm of your hands. Inhale, scrunch up your face, including your forehead, cheeks, jaw, ears, and neck, and exhale, completely release, relaxing your face, fully resetting. Inhale, squeeze your whole body in, clench everything in tight, tight, tight. Then big exhale out, release, let it all go, and feel lighter, as if you are weightless in your seat. Breathe into your intellect, plug into the parts of you that are curious, that have a drive to learn, to converse. How do you freely exchange energy with others through this intellect, through this ability to converse and communicate? Notice the duality within your intellect, what parts are light, what parts are dark, what parts of the intellect come from the heart, and what parts come from the mind. Accept both sides fully. Accept the fact that indecision is a part of being dual human beings. It's okay to go back and forth between heart and mind. As you sit beneath this Gemini full moon, experience the moonlight illuminating deep into the crevices of your mind. Feel each white beam shine light on the shadows of your intellect, whether that is an urge to have all the answers or to be right all the time. Feel the moon shed light on where you may be fixated on certain opinions and viewpoints. Each moonbeam dissolves these attachments, the desire for answers, the desire to be correct, healing you towards expansion, integration, and adaptability. Sitting in this space of reflection and illumination, begin to open your soul to these questions. Where do you want to expand your intellect towards? Where is your heart saying one thing and your mind saying another? Become completely enveloped by the full moon's purifying light. Feel it fully cleanse your mind and its perceptions. Feel the light start to close the borders between your two inner worlds, between the heart and the mind, the yin and the yang. Take a moment to thank the moon for her pure lunar spirit that nurtures, heals, and cleanses. Radiate love and gratitude to the moon. Begin to deepen your breath into your body. Slowly reawaken, first noticing the space you are in internally, then noticing the space you are in externally. Gently drift the eyes open and journal on the following prompt.
