Allow your shoulders to relax, your jaw to soften, your belly to expand as you breathe. Release the tension from your neck, your back, your spine, traveling down your arms and your hands. Relaxation travels through your chest and belly, into your hips and thighs and knees. It moves gently like a wave through your calves and ankles and out the bottom of your feet. Let your breath slow. Take a deep breath in and a long, slow breath out. Again, breathe in calm and exhale any tension or tightness. Let your breath become your anchor. Now imagine yourself walking into a quietly, softly lit space. You feel safe, supported and grounded. Ahead of you is a beautiful full-length mirror glowing softly, inviting you forward. Each step towards it feels steady and sure. You feel calm, curiosity rising within you. This mirror shows you a reflection of your true, authentic self. The self that came into this world without doubt, without worry. The self that is uniquely you. You are the only you here. You give yourself permission to look at yourself and the world around you with creativity and curiosity and exploration. You now tell your mind that you want this version of your true self to become a cheerleader, a coach, a mentor, to be with you every second of the day. Vividly picture this part of you in all the details that delight you and bring you joy. Bring a deep knowledge of who you are and what you want. This strong voice overrides and overrules any other voices. This voice builds you up, providing words of hope, singing words of truth, showing you your true inner wisdom and strength, demonstrating to you that you can succeed taking little steps forward every day.
