When we normalize silence in groups, teams, or families, we may find that just a few moments of presencing together can positively shift the situation at hand and our interactions overall. Quieting our own nervous systems and connecting in a quiet social field can make everyday collaboration more effortless and alive. This brief guided practice invites you and any group you meet with to present together. Use these tracks before a meeting, to take a break, or to close out shared work together. Improve listening, allow for diversity of opinion, and let the “sense of the meeting” emerge. Presencing Together To Normalize Silence In Groups - 2 Min

Welcome to two minutes of presencing together. We can begin by relaxing the eyes or softening the gaze or allowing the eyes to close as we feel comfortable. Next, we let our tongues relax and relax the jaw. We may begin to notice the placement of our heads over our shoulders and observe the dignity of our spines in space. Next, we take notice of how our seat is sitting in the chair and how our feet are connecting to the ground. We may then begin to notice the breathing, observing the quality of the breath as it is and noticing how each breath comes into the body and goes out from the body seemingly naturally of its own accord. And as the breath comes in and goes out, we may begin to notice the shape of our shoulders in space and how our arms are taking up space and how our hands are placed. Next, these are some of the tools and practices we can use while presencing together for two minutes.
