Sagittarius New Moon Ritual Meditation

 This new moon in Sagittarius ignites a special type of fire in our souls. The kind of fire that brings a sense of relief in the darkness. As we all know, here in the northern hemisphere, the days are getting shorter so we have longer nights and Sagittarius is this mutable fiery sign that gives us that light at the end of the tunnel, the hope, the optimism. Sagittarius is such a special sign because it welcomes the opportunity to reflect on our levels of optimism and enthusiasm. This energy compels us to see through the obstacles and through to a clear vision of our dream life, brimming with freedom and adventure. This period of time under the new moon in this sign may bring an extra boost of positivity since Sagittarius is wise, all-knowing, and optimistic. We'll turbocharge that boost with this new moon ritual meditation. So begin by settling into a safe and comfortable space wherever you like to perform your new moon rituals. Find yourself in a nice comfortable seat, spine tall, shoulders down. Close down the eyes if you haven't already and feel the eyelids rest heavy into the sockets of your eyes. Release the tongue from the roof of the mouth, relax the jaw, the chin, and just let yourself settle in. Notice what thoughts come up as you relax and clear your mind. Allow those thoughts to simply drift into the night sky and anchor yourself into this present moment by bringing your awareness to your breath. As your body starts to melt into the stillness of the new moonlight, become aware of any part of the body that feels like there may be a little bit of restlessness or activity. We'll begin to move through a body breathing technique to release any of this residual activity in the body. The inhale will move up the body and the exhale will move down the body. Let's begin at the soles of your feet, draw your awareness there. Inhale the breath all the way up from the soles of your feet to the crown of the head and exhale down from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet. Inhale from bottom to top, exhale from top to bottom. As you breathe along your body, feel the inhale travel to where it feels restless. Feel the exhale release it like mist dissipating into the air. Inhale from the soles of your feet up to the crown of your head and exhale from the crown down to the bottom of your feet. Take a few more of these breaths on your own, each breath sweeping through, cleaning you out. Gently release the breath and come back to your natural, smooth, easy breaths. Now bring to mind any obstacles you've been facing or that you've had, anything that your mind tells you you can't do, roadblocks that your mind may be creating that you'd like to release. Let the darkness of the new moon consume any and all obstacles. Now begin to open your intuition for these next few open questions. What are you hopeful for in this next moon cycle? Where in your life can you welcome more freedom, expansiveness, and enthusiasm? Now we'll connect these reflections to the breath. Inhale all your dreams and visions. Exhale any roadblocks. Inhale all that you can be. Exhale all that you once were. Inhale all you wish to manifest. Exhale all you wish to release. Take a few more of these manifest and release breaths. Begin to set an intention for this next lunar cycle. What positive physical or mental changes do you wish to welcome in this next moon cycle? How can this opportunity for a new beginning ignite a new enthusiasm for life within you? Picture the soft light of the new moon descending over you, the light beams down into your heart. Feel this light clear what holds you back and any obstacles you wish to release as the light begins to course through your body. Focus on your breath to move this white light through each corner of your heart, down to your liver, your hips, your sacral chakra, in the sacral area. Cleansing your soul while igniting a fire of adventure and optimism through you. Now feel the white light start to shine from your hips, thighs, and sacrum. Ask the new moon to amplify this creative, fiery energy. To welcome abundance in your situation in life. There is no limit in the ways your dreams can expand into reality. Ask the new moon to manifest these positive changes you seek. Immerse in the sensation of the white light as it eventually fully encapsulates your entire body. Open the mind, open the heart. Be receptive to any sensations that may come up. Send gratitude to the lunar body in our sky for her cleansing and manifesting abilities, for answering your calls for cosmic wisdom. Radiate this love and gratitude to the moon, interlocking your cosmic energy with her cosmic energy. Through love, feel your body breathing itself, feel your hips against the earth. Connect with the entire body against the earth, against the boundaries of the space you take up.
